Gun Safety
My family and I lost our 14-year-old daughter in a school shooting. Now, I’m fighting to make sure no one else loses a child to gun violence. We all know that gun violence is preventable. That’s why I’ve spent the last six years fighting for safer gun storage laws, and it’s why I’ll keep fighting for common sense gun laws in Congress.
Veterans
As a disabled military veteran myself, I know how often veterans living in our district are underserved and overlooked. While the VA has improved, we can do even better. It’s time to guarantee our military veterans receive better access to doctors and medical facilities, improved pension plans, and better long-term benefits.
Healthcare
I believe that all women deserve the right to make their own healthcare decisions. In Congress, I’ll fight to defend a woman’s right to choose and work to pass federal laws to codify Roe v. Wade. Pregnant women in Texas shouldn’t have to flee our state to receive life-saving medical treatment.
